Learning about Asia and Africa

Peter Nelson is a fourth grade student in Janet Mosby's class who recently completed his final project of his learning about Asia and Africa. Janet said that Peter is really engaged with this curriculum and his writing and learning about each of the countries he is studying is high quality!

In one of Peter's weekly contacts he said, "I'm really liking learning about Asia and Africa. My favorite part of learning about Asia is the animals. One of my favorites is the Bactrian camel from Mongolia. It has two humps, and people ride it. For one of my activities I'm working on "quilt squares" for different countries. One each quilt square, I draw the flag, a unique animal, a home, and a person then write a paragraph about the country. I'm reading The True Book of Asia".
