As a public school program, the CVA academic calendar includes 180 days of instruction and includes holidays and breaks similar to a traditional school program. Once assigned to a CVA school, you can open the CVA Calendar to view the academic calendar for the current school year.

CVA does not offer summer school and CVA teachers are not available outside of the regular school year; therefore, students should plan on completing courses within the school calendar. CVA is not able to award credit for CVA coursework that is completed outside of the regular school year, including all assignments, portfolios, senior projects, etc., which must be completed with the school year to receive credit.
