Student success is the core objective of the Family Educational Team and CVA students are successful when they:

• work closely with parents and teachers to progress through the curriculum and complete assignments;

• demonstrate that they understand the material;

• submit assignments, assessments, work samples, or learning reflections each school week;

• ask parents and teachers to clarify concepts and expand understanding of lessons when necessary;

• incorporate their own interests into curricular projects to make them more meaningful;

• learn to read every day because reading is the foundation for all subject area;s

• challenge themselves by setting goals and learning milestones;

• measure learning with assessments;

• are active participants and learn to take responsibility for their learning.
